Space Teenager: A Singularity Romance Mix
Too lazy to write a description so I’m quoting the mail I received in my inbox last week. “The third Space Teenager mix is the perfect example of a summer sun bath: it’s scorching hot, sweaty as fuck and as deep as it gets to get you properly tanned. A Singularity Romance is a mix about true L.O.V.E., sunbathing in the afternoon and dipping your feet in the sand. John Talabot: XLR8R Podcast #197
I have to admit, it’s not what you have been accustomed to, but giving all the different genres and influences spinning around in the same musical circle/scene it’s hard not to fall so deeply in love with different sounds and grooves. This is a case of love at first sight and it first began after hearing John Talabot‘s debut EP on Permanent Vacation two years ago and grew even more higher with his remix for Zwicker’s ‘Oddity’ from last year. Moodyman’s RBMA Lecture Inspired: Homework, Robin Ordell, Oliver $
Long story short: Moodyman held a lecture at last year’s Red Bull Music Academy where he talked about what he does, why he does it and how he does it. He told everybody the truth and emphasized on how comfortable he is doing his thang and being very honest about it. His words were so powerful and could be so easily adapted (partially or fully) to so many circumstances that one year later three amazing house records (and still counting) containing different audio samples from the lecture emerged.
First on the list is the already super famous ‘I’m Into This’ released by Homework in february on Shir Khan’s Exploited imprint featuring vocals about bitches, hoes and MPCs.

Maceo Plex: Resident Advisor Podcast #254
Since his debut album 2 months ago on Damian Lazarus’ famous Crosstown Rebels, Maceo Plex better know to the wide audience as dark techno lord Maetrik has become one of the top 5 names to watch out for this year production and live performance wise. Andu Simion: Electrocutare.ro Exclusive Mixtape #06
This month’s exclusive mixtape is called To Be Or Not To Be, it comes from a town near Bucharest and is delivered by the young and restless Andu Simion who not only spins some of the mellowest downtempo midnight deep grooves (and dub chords) around, but he is also a hyperactive photographer, digital collator and blogger, present on too many online art portals for me to mention here. Pepp: Electrocutare.ro Exclusive Mixtape #05

Guy J: Audio Elements Show on Proton Radio (09-03-2011)
I discovered the Israeli techno juggernaut that goes by the name of Guy J somewhere late 2007 when he released alongside Chaim the ever amazing Isreality EP on Turbo Records. Last week Guy Judah was invited on Roger Martinez’s Audio Elements show hosted on Proton Radio where he delivered one hour of pure modern dance music sensation featuring a lot of his own tracks and remixes, a couple of unreleased productions and some other amazing stuff from the likes of Sei A, Simon Garcia, Efdemin or Adam Port.

Black Devil Disco Club @ Popa Nan 82, friday 25 february
This friday Chestionabil’s Joint #11 will be hosting the infamous ahead of it’s time noir space disco producer and innovator Bernard Fèvre for a live performance this city has yet to see. Warming up the party will be Dompteur Mooner of ex-Zombie Nation fame (he literally founded and launched the project) and also britain’s most notorius import, Logan. Entrance fee is 25 ron, but be sure to get your proper alcohol dose back at home, this venue is well known for bartenders who can’t “remember” the price list and spirit proportions.

Homework: Hudson Square EP + Video
After fiddling for the past 2 years behind turntables wearing immaculate white shirts and raven black ties, these two dutch underground bad boys that go by the very inspired name of Homework had finally found the sound they were looking for all this time. Tom Waist and Zip Stolk quickly caught the attention of Shir Khan and his brand new Exploited Records imprint (Mercury, Joyce Muniz, Playmode, Siriusmo) where they released their debut EP ‘Fissa Tune’ that featured the amazing ‘I Got One’ (check out Mercury’s remix). Homework’s second EP saw another’s dance legend label press, this time it was Jesse Rose’s Made To Play where the boys released their ‘Trumpet Express’. This brings us to present time and Homework’s last friday release back on Exploited again of their latest deep house dance madness ‘Hudson Square’. I swear I haven’t heard something as entertaining as this for a long while: it’s got beats, grooves, vocals, humour and most of all, jolly good vibes.
